Long one of the well-nigh influential and groundbreaking figures on the UK reggae view, producer Adrian Sherwood and his celebrated On-U Sound label pioneered a distinctive spinal fusion of dub, john Rock and dance which made waves non only in roots circles merely besides in the pop mainstream. Born in 1958, Sherwood first surfaced during the previous '70s at the helm of a serial publication of disastrously transient labels; he formed On-U Sound in 1979, enumeration Creation Rebel, Prince Far I, Bim Sherman, and the Mothmen (afterward to word form Simply Red) among the roster's earlier additions.
